usr/local/include/OGRE/ExampleFrameListener.h||In member function ‘virtual void ExampleFrameListener::updateStats()’:| ||= Build: Debug in testogre (compiler: GNU GCC Compiler) =| This tells me that the framework is correctly installed, right ? But, trying to compile the simple application gives these errors: I can go through the examples without any errors. Running the SamplesBrowser works right away, no problem. Then running "make install" copied everything into /usr/include and lib, and /usr/local/include. I have installed all prerequisites according to a tutorial found here on Ogre3d somewhere in the wiki, compiled the dependency sources that can be found on sourceforge, and then used the cmake gui to create a unix make file. So I don't really want to get into all the errors now, first I'd like to know how to set up the framework correctly. I have tried to compile a very minimal example that I found on Google which uses the ExampleApplication.h file, but I get so many "couldn't find this, couldn't find that" that I really need some pointer here. Of course, if someone here using a Mac can guide me through that would be awesome as well. If anyone can point me to a website or so that would be great. So my first question is: Can anyone point me to an explanation/tutorial that shows how to set up Ogre on OSX ? I have found a couple of explanations but all of them are related to XCode and to be honest, I didn't find any explanation of where to copy what so the Ogre framework is found. Well, obviously running SampleBrowser in /bin gives me an unexpected error. Then in the terminal going into ogre_build and running "make" I was able to reach 100% without any issue. So, in the cmake gui, making sure that all dependencies are found, I created a unix make file. I have unpacked the ogre sources into /Documents/Ogre3D, in which I created a folder called ogre_build, where I have placed the dependencies. I have downloaded the Ogre 1.9 sources and the prebuild libc++ dependencies. XCode and commandline tools are installed. I have a Macbook running OSX 10.9 with clang++ and libc++. Having done most of my work in Python and Java I'd love to get more into C++ and Ogre. I have programming experience in Python, Java, and C++. I'm Michael, I'm a Linux Admin in my professional life and next to that I'm studying Astrophysics in University. First of all, a little introduction as I'm new here.
